Mental health e-learning platform

The What

My role: Learning Experience Designer

Client: SystemSeed, a web development agency specialising in social impact projects

Challenge: Transform a 100 page Word document into an engaging and functional learning management system (LMS) for mental health and psychosocial support

Key terms: EdTech, Tech for Good, taxonomy

Tools: Pivotal for project planning, ANU for the e-learning platform, Google Docs for collaboration

"We worked together on an important UN project which had a lot of moving parts. Lucy was consistently professional in her approach, personable in her manner, and quality-focused in delivery… I’m looking forward to the next project we are able to collaborate on."

— Tamsin Fox-Davies, Head of Growth, SystemSeed

The How

Solution:

This was a complex project with many moving parts and changing goalposts.

We worked in two-week sprints in an agile environment, alongside external stakeholders in multiple time zones.

As part of the Content team, I worked closely with developers and designers to create, iterate and test the LMS platform.

This also involved reviewing the taxonomy and information architecture available in the design and structuring the courses in the best possible way.

The lesson:

Collaborating with various stakeholders is tricky, but a positive outcome is possible with regular, transparent communication and empathy.

I’m really proud of what we achieved with this project.
